Reader Resources

Don't forget to check out My Favorite Authors. I have links to my favorite authors' websites and reviews of my favorite books! My own sites are listed first. :)

I need some new links! Do you know of any great reader resources on the web that are free and fun? After a recent link update, I found my list whittled away by the removal of outdated links. Now I need some new ones. Feel free to email me any suggested links you have.

  • The Erotic Reader - Romance on the Wild Side - A website devoted exclusively to erotic romance novels, including Harlequin Blaze, Red Sage, Heat, Black Lace, and Ellora's Cave books.
  • HEA Romance - A website about what makes romance novels good - the happily ever after endings!
  • Story Heaven - A website about all kinds of books, but many of the favorites are romance novels and series.
  • Crime Mystery Books - A website about crime fiction and mystery novels, with an emphasis on my own favorites. There are many romantic suspense and mystery books on the site.
  • My blog! - I post some romance book reviews on the blog in between my articles about writing and other stuff.
  • WeReadRomance.com - A site just for romance readers from my friend Heather.
  • All About Romance - This site is fabulous for the true romance book lover. It has tons of book reviews, author interviews, and even bulletin boards where you can discuss books you love or hate.
  • Online Reads at eHarlequin - Enjoy stories from your favorite authors or sample new authors and series with their free Online Reads, with new chapters posted every weekday.
  • Heather Reed's website - Definitely check this site out if only for the fact that Heather is a great friend of mine.
  • Historical Romance Writers - Great site. Offers access to many fabulous historical romance writers, books, and reviews.
  • Project GutenbergProject Gutenburg - Free e-book downloads of many classics, such as Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. In fact, I've created a page with links to the Jane Austen romances, and you can start the downloads from this site! Go to Jane Austen free e-text downloads.
  • Romantic Times
  • Stories.com (Writing.com now) - has some interesting stories you can read online and then contribute if you like--some are better than others. It's kind of a "choose your own adventure" sort of thing. (You must register--but hey, it's free.)
  • Tell Tale Press
  • The Eclectic Authors
  • The Romance Club
  • The Romance Reader's Community - An email loop for romance readers. Talk about the books you love with other romance readers.

  • The Romance Reader
  • Writerspace - Has lots of authors of romance.
